Job Title: Psychological Social Worker (2 Vacancies)
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Offering psycho-social support to inmates and staff.
- Promoting social welfare programs for both inmates and staff
- Promoting the right of in mates to contact the outside world and linking inmates with relatives, beneficiaries and relevant agencies.
- Initiating, organising and promoting programs for the social rehabilitation of offenders.
- Promoting positive behaviour change and reformation of offenders into the community as productive and law abiding citizen and providing aftercare service for prisoners upon discharge.
- Promoting social welfare, personnel growth and development of staff and their families.
- Sending monthly returns on prisoners and staff human rights observance, welfare and rehabilitation activities.
- Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience: The applicants should be Ugandans holding an Honours Bachelors Degree in either Community Psychology or Guidance and Counselling or Social Work and Social Administration or (criminology or Immunology or any other closely related course in the field of Social Work with Social Work as a course unit) from a recognised University/Institution.
Age: Between 20 – 45 years
