About Project:
Child Fund Uganda has won an award on the Deinstitutionalization of Orphans and Vulnerable Children, this project is a 3-year and six month period (42 months) Project implemented by a consortium of partners namely; ChildFund International, TPO Uganda, Child’s Foundation and Retrak. The key goals of the project are to strengthen national child protection systems in order to prevent unnecessary family separation and enable children outside of families to be placed in family or family based care.
Job Summary: The Project Officers will be responsible for ensuring that the DCOF project goals and interventions are clearly understood by all those involved in one way or another to deliver planned interventions. In this regard, the Project Officer will particularly support the social workers, ensuring that they have a clear grasp of the proposed interventions and strategies to be applied. He/she will develop the technical capacity of social workers in program implementation, management, monitoring /evaluation and promotes networking with program stakeholders. The Project Officer will also play a convergence role at all designated levels of project implementation; institutional with the CCIs; at local government level with the department of community services and probation; at sub county level and at household level, ensuring that each actor has a clear understanding of their role and that the team around the child is sufficiently organized and facilitated to play its role.
