Job opportunity for Research Co-ordinator at Mengo Hospital

Job Title:   Research Co-ordinator

Mengo Hospital is the oldest hospital in Uganda which was established by Sir Albert Cook in 1897. Today, the hospital is an urban community hospital with all the amenities of a modern hospital. Mengo Hospital, a Church of Uganda founded Private-Not-For-Profit Institution, with capacity of 300 beds.

Job Summary:  The Research co-ordinator will be responsible for initiating, organizing, coordinating and implementing operational research programs and activities at the Hospital. The incumbent will be tasked to contribute to the Hospital Research strategy and plan

Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 

  • The ideal candidate should hold a Master’s Degree in Clinical Epidemiology, Medical/Bio-Statistics, Environmental Health or Public Health
  • A minimum of two years’ experience in a related role
  • Working knowledge of principles and practices of health related research
  • Competence in Critical review of Scientific literature
  • Strong background in Statistics, Data analysis and report writing experience
