Job Summary: The Finance Intern will support International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) through the provision of day-to-day financial administration functions and general office operations and procedures. The Intern will be responsible for finance support ensuring day to day financial administration functions and general office operations and procedures
Key Duties and Responsibilities: Under the overall supervision of the Finance and Administration Officer, the Intern will assist/support the following:
- Tasked with preparing payment vouchers ensuring all necessary supporting documents is attached.
- In charge of verifying field accountabilities for accuracy and completeness
- Preparing returns for statutory payroll deductions
- Tasked with tracking and filling monthly withholding taxes
- Filling all the posted financial documents
- Assist with photocopying and scanning of documents
- Assist with short-term project tasks as needed
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The ideal candidate for the Finance Intern job placement must hold an Undergraduate degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or CPA II.
- Proficiency Microsoft Excel and accounting software tools is a plus
- Ability to work independently towards a clear goal
- Excellent interpersonal, communication (oral and written) and teamwork skills
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with a broad range of individuals and groups from a wide range of cultural backgrounds
- Excellent report writing, proofreading and editing skills with a strong command of the English language in its written and spoken form
- Good team player
- Excellent communication and diplomacy skills
- Proven ability to work effectively with multicultural and multidisciplinary teams displaying sensitivity and respect for diversity;
