ZOA is an international NGO which offers relief to people who are affected by conflict or natural disasters. ZOA wants to contribute to a new perspective of HOPE in which people work together for a promising future in dignity and mutual trust. Together with the affected communities we work on the RECOVERY until they can provide to take care of their livelihoods. The work of ZOA is coordinated from Apeldoorn, the Netherlands. From Apeldoorn ZOA operates in seventeen countries in Africa, Middle East Region and Asia. ZOA works approximately with 1000 employees worldwide. In Uganda, ZOA has offices in Kampala, West Nile (Arua), Acholi (Nwoya), and Karamoja (Amudat). ZOA Uganda works both in relief and recovery on the themes of food security & livelihoods, WASH, primary/accelerated/vocational education, and conflict management with a special focus on land security.
Job Summary: The Country Program Officer Livelihood and Agriculture will be responsible for high-quality programming of ZOAs livelihood and agricultural interventions (relief and recovery) in Uganda. The incumbent will act as the ZOA Uganda’s main internal and external representative on livelihoods and agriculture. The incumbent will support the field offices in the high-quality implementation of existing livelihood and agricultural interventions, and in the identification, formulation, and development of new livelihood and agricultural interventions. You will be in charge of writing donor project proposals on livelihood and agriculture, and you will support the Country Director in related donor acquisition. On behalf of ZOA you will be the livelihoods coordinator of the EU TF Consortium.
