Job Title: Sales & Marketing Executive
Mandela National Stadium often referred to as Namboole Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Kampala, Uganda. It is currently used mostly for football matches, although other sports are also practiced. The stadium has a capacity of 40,202 people.
The stadium was built with a grant of $36 million dollars from the People’s Republic of China. The 40,202 capacity sports complex was built with a $36m Chinese government grant and opened in 1997.
Job Summary: The Sales & Marketing Executive will be responsible for acquisition of  new clients by networking, cold calling, advertising or other means of generating interest from potential clients;
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Actively participate in formulating, planning and implementing the marketing strategy, including advertising campaigns and public relations   activities to ensure optimal and profitable use of Mandela National Stadium’s facilities;
  • Oversee the sales and marketing resources according to agreed budgets as well as relevant reporting of management and financial information for the marketing department e.g. marketing activity report;
  • Participate in planning market campaigns for all the companyproducts and services to maximize sales revenue;
  • Develop and maintain Mandela National Stadium’s corporate image and reputation through suitable PR and Marketing initiatives;
  • Achieve marketing targets as agreed with the supervisor;
  • Participate in developing and maintaining a range of external contacts with relevant organizations and individuals who can assist in the sales and marketing of company products and services;
  • Participate in Monitoring the market environment for the company’s products & services and make appropriate recommendations;
  • Participate in handling customer complaints and taking appropriate action;
  • Maintain an up-to-date sales activity dairy;
  • Maintain an up-to-date customer correspondence file, in order to keep a clear track record of the status of the business with each customer;
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
  • The ideal candidate should hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing from a reputable university or institution.
  • At least two year’s working experience of marketing products and services
  • Good planning and organizational skills
  • Be a good team player
  • Proactive attitude and can work under pressure
  • Ability to work under minimum supervision
Age: between 25 – 35 years
