Jamaica ends she cranes chances of qualification at the 2015 Netball World Cup

The Uganda she cranes suffered another defeat in their second pool E game of the 2015 Netball World Cup losing 59-47to Jamaica at the Allphones Arena.

This was a must win for the She cranes but they found Jamaica too strong to beat. The fourth world-ranked Jamaican Sunshine Girls needed the win badly after they were defeated by New Zealand, 55-48 in their first pool E game.

The Sunshine Girls put up a determined display while dismantling the Uganda she cranes in the first, third and final quarter of the game.

The sunshine Girls led the first quarter 14-11, third quarter 16-10 and 15-11in the final quarter with the Uganda she cranes bettering in just the second quarter with 16-10.

Jamaica’s goal shooter Romelda Aiken had 100% shooting accuracy with their goal attacker Shanice Beckford also being excellent while Uganda’s goal shooter Peace Proscovia and goal attacker Racheal Nanyonga could not match them.

Jamaica won the game by 12 goals enhancing their chances of qualification.

The Uganda she cranes will just play their final fixture against New Zealand with no chance of qualification to the semi-finals.
