IUIU Receives Award for Promoting Arabic Language

The Islamic university in Uganda(IUIU) has received an award from the World Assembly of Muslim Youth (WAMY) in recognition of the Rector’s support and IUIU to participate in the Guinea Conakry Arabic language conference held at the university of General Lansana Conte from January 26th-28th January 2023.

The award was presented by Dr Shamsuddin Bolatito who is the WAMY west Africa representative & member of the board of trustees of the organization alongside Dr Hassan Kiyingi the dean of the Faculty of Arabic Language and Islamic studies who represented IUIU In Guinea Conakry and received by Prof. Ismail Simbwa Gyagenda the Rector of the Islamic university in Uganda.

WAMY has been supporting IUIU in the area of providing scholarships to indigent students at the bachelors to PhD level and other activities.
