Key Duties and Responsibilities:  

    • The incumbent will understand and define company’s requirements.
    • Define and clarify project scope according to company’s requirements.
    • Develop the project plan with clear deadlines.
    • Develop policies and procedures to support the achievement of the project objectives.
    • The jobholder will also identify the organizational structure of any given project.i
    • Manage priorities between the various stake holders and monitor performance.
    • Completing projects by coordinating resources and timetables with user departments and data center.
    • Tasked with tracking projects process and keeping project GHANTT updated.
    • Coordinating activities across different organizational functions.
    • Identify issues or delays and taking corrective actions.
    • Mentoring and managing staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees; maintaining a safe and secure work environment, developing personal growth opportunities.
  • Maintaining organization’s effectiveness and efficiency by defining, delivering, and supporting strategic plans for any given project.
  • Directs technological research by studying organization goals, strategies, practices and user projects.
  • Verifies application results by conducting system audits of technologies implemented.
  • Preserves assets by implementing disaster recovery and back-up procedures and information security and control structures.
  • Recommending information technology strategies, policies and procedures by evaluating organization outcomes; identifying problems; evaluating trends; anticipating requirements.
  • Managing the IT support team by defining tasks, objectives for any given project.
  • Perform other duties as may arise from time to time and as may be assigned by the employer.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 

  • The ideal candidate for the BetIN Uganda IT Manager job must hold a Bachelor’s degree either in IT or Computer science.
  • At least two years’ experience in Managing an IT team.
  • Ability to work with a start-up company.
  • Proactive and self driven
