Job Title: Systems Maintenance Technician
Gulu University is a Public University established by Statutory Instrument No. 16 of 2003. The University was set to serve as a launch pad for equitable development in Uganda providing knowledge and skills and stimulating innovations in education, technology, economic advancement and social development. The University is located in Gulu Municipality with branches in Lira, Kitgum and Hoima districts.
Job Summary: The Systems Maintenance Technician will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, assembling and maintaining computer and information systems in the University.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for ensuring that staff are trained to use the tools and adhere to the Maintenance schedule
- Guiding management on issues concerning electronic equipment
- Actively participating in the installation of computer equipment and programs monitoring.
- In charge of designing and updating Websites.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The Systems Maintenance Technician should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering from a recognized University.
- Professional A+ Certification
- A minimum of two years’ experience with a reputable organisation.
Age: Between 25 to 40 years
