Islamic University in Uganda to start Medical Courses

Islamic University in Uganda (IUIU) has launched a multi-billion complex at their Kibuli campus. The complex will be the home for the medical school which is expected to start in August 2014.

The complex named “Habib Medical School” was constructed in partnership with the Habib family of Saudi Arabia which is an Organisation of Islamic Corporation and Lahore.

Dr Ahmed Ssengendo, the rector IUIU, said the university would start with a Bachelor of Medicine this year and later roll out other medical courses.
