Islamic University In Uganda Receives best private university award 2019

Islamic University in Uganda (IUIU) was endowed best private university award during the Visionaries of Uganda Awards ceremony which was held at Kampala Serena Hotel on Thursday 28th November 2019.

The Awards were launched by President Yoweri Museveni in 2013 aimed at recognizing organizations and individuals who are contributing towards the comprehension of Uganda’s Vision of 2040.

This event is organized annually by the Visionaries Advisory Board in conjunction with the National Planning Authority (NPA).

The Vice President Edward Sekkandi was the guest of honour during the event, in his words; he said “Recognising and rewarding outstanding organizations and individuals encourages quality products, service and positive competition for profound socio-economic development of the nation”.

IUIU was granted the best private university for promoting quality education in Uganda.it among a few universities nominated under best performing private businesses and NGOs.

The award was received by the Academic Registrar, Dr Halimah Wakabi and Dr.Madina Nabukeera Ssebyala the Director at Campus-Kabojja.
