Islamic University in Uganda Announces Date for 26th Graduation Ceremony

The Islamic University in Uganda will hold its 26th Graduation ceremony for the 2017/2018 academic year on November 10, 2018.

The graduation ceremony will be held at the university’s Main Campus in Mbale according to the University Academic Registrar; Dr. HalimaWakabi Akbar.

She emphasized that for one to appear on the graduation list, the student must have been cleared academically and financially.

“The students must have cleared their tuition, passed all papers and paid the graduation fee of Shs. 293,000 for undergraduate programs and Shs. 355,000 for postgraduate programs” revealed the University Academic Registrar, Dr. HalimaWakabi Akbar.

She further called on students intending to graduate to verify and confirm their results.

“This would enable the different faculties to submit final results of students for consideration during the Examination Committee meeting” Dr. Wakabi explained.

 She also noted that students who are to attend the University’s 26th graduation ceremony must have cleared by October 15, 2018.

“This academic year we are going to be strict on deadlines. Students who will submit the clearance forms past the deadline will not be added on the graduation list” the Registrar stressed.

Dr.Halima further revealed that this year students will have customized graduation gowns with IUIU label besides improving the quality noting that it will not have any cost implication to the students
