International University of East Africa signs MoU with Cyberoam Technologies Pvt Ltd

In order to promote excellence in the area of Networks and Security education, there has been an initiative between International University of East Africa and Cyberoam Technologies Pvt Ltd to collaborate in the field of Information Technology education.

The prime objective of the MoU is to strengthen the interface between the Industry and Academia so as to enhance the quality of education in the discipline of Computer Networks and Network Security which has become an important component of E-business as well as Information Technology Management. Areas of Collaboration include;

Cyberoam Certified Network & Security Professional (CCNSP): The course enables security professionals to become familiar with the basics of networking and UTM security and delivers practical knowledge of deployment, configuration and management of Cyberoam identity-based UTM appliances in complex enterprise scenarios.

Cyberoam Certified Network & Security Expert (CCNSE): CCNSE Certification Course is meant for CCNSP-certified professionals to advance their career. It provides them with the expertise in deploying Cyberoam security in complex scenarios for enterprise networks.

Course participants will learn about advanced debugging and troubleshooting issues and deepen their understanding of Cyberoam UTM’s identity-based architecture.

Hands-on lab sessions allow participants to gain direct exposure to events that take place in a Cyberoam enterprise set-up, product installation, integration into a network, configuration for various Cyberoam features such as anti-virus, anti-spam, content filtering, VPN, IPS, high availability etc. and support / troubleshooting issues.

Cyberoam Certified Trainer (CCT): Cyberoam’s apex level certification program that trains and certifies Cyberoam Authorized Training Partners (CATP) , Cyberoam Authorized Distributors and individuals with skills at par with combined exposure of CCNSP & CCNSE to become Certified Trainers for Cyberoam Certification Programs

He previously worked as a journalist with Observer media and authored several articles and stories. He does research, video & audio recording, editing and production for online publication. He Participated in The New Dawn photography campaign aimed at rebranding Northern Uganda-USAID/NUTI Project (2010). Philimon is in love with photography, writing, reading, sharing new ideas and interacting with reasonable people for skills development.
