International University of East Africa (IUEA) wins the 7th National Inter-University Debate Championships

IUEA (International University of East Africa) has proven to be among the top private universities after defeating a number of universities during the National Inter-University Debate Championships 2019.

The theme of this Debate was ‘The preference between the parliamentary and presidential systems’ aimed at  students discussed, interrogated and analyzed how the youth can be empowered to make informed decisions ahead of the 2021 general elections.

Universities included IUEA who were the winner, Uganda Christian University , Mbarara University of Science and Technology,  Kampala International University-KIU

The event was held at Gulu University, Laroo Division in Gulu (Uganda).

This event attracted numerous scholars from different offices across the country.

The occasion was graced by the deputy speaker of Parliament, Rt Honourable Jacob Oulanyah who was impressed by the level of engagement of the speakers
