International Tuition Waiver Scholarships at Lock Haven University in USA, 2018

The Lock Haven University is offering International Tuition Waiver Scholarships. International scholarships are renewable for a maximum of eight (8) semesters within four and one-half years.

The Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania, commonly abbreviated LHU, is a state university in Lock Haven, in central Pennsylvania, the United States located along the Susquehanna River, and is roughly 30 miles (48 km) from the major towns of Williamsport and State College.

Applicants whose native language is not English are required to demonstrate proficiency in English.  The TOEFL is the most frequently submitted examination score that the University receives, however, the Admissions Office will use other measures upon the applicant’s request. The IELTS, ACT, and SAT examinations may also be used.

Course Level: Scholarships are available for pursuing the undergraduate programme.

Study Subject: Scholarships are awarded to study the subjects offered by the university.

Scholarship Award: The waiver may only be awarded for a maximum of eight (8) semesters within four and one-half years.  The amount of the tuition waiver determines the number of service hours required.

Scholarship can be taken in the USA

Eligibility: Students who receive International Tuition Waivers must fulfil the following requirements:

  • Achieve a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 2.0
  • Earn 12 credits each semester
  • Fulfill service hours each academic year

Nationality: International students can apply for these scholarships.

College Admission Requirement

Entrance Requirement: Applicants must have previous degree.

Test Requirement: No

English Language Requirement: International applicants must submit at least one exam score report. International students currently enrolled in a U.S. institution may not need to submit a language exam if they have successfully completed more than one semester of for-credit academic study. Applicants from the following countries do not need to submit an English proficiency exam score: American Samoa, Australia, Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Canada (except Quebec), Dominica, Grenada, Grand Cayman, Guyana, Ireland, Jamaica, Liberia, New Zealand, Trinidad & Tobago, United Kingdom  (England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales), and U.S. Pacific Trust.

TOEFL
213 (computer-based)
79-80 (internet-based)
550 (paper-based)

IELTS: 5.5
SAT: Combined verbal and math score of 900, with at least 500 on critical reading section
ACT: Composite of 20 with individual English and reading scores at or above 20
