Summary: The U.S. Mission in Uganda is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for the position of ICASS Service Clerk
The work schedule for this position is:
- Full Time, 40 hours per week
Start date: Candidate must be able to begin working within a reasonable period of time following receipt of agency authorization and/or clearances/certifications or their candidacy may end.
Supervisory Position: No
Duties: Under direct supervision of Facilities Supervisor and assigned to the US Mission ICASS customers liaison office responsible for the management and coordination of information concerning residential leased quarters and government owned buildings repairs and occupation.

EDUCATION: Attainment of Ordinary level certificate (completion of 4 years of secondary school) is required.

Requirements:
EXPERIENCE: Three years of maintenance operations and clerical experience, is required.
JOB KNOWLEDGE: Good knowledge of maintenance operations and terminology. Must have good working knowledge of correspondence manuals, clerical practices and procedures, strong knowledge of building maintenance operations as well as preventive maintenance and inspection procedures is required.
Evaluations:
LANGUAGE: Level III (good working knowledge) English in speaking, reading and writing and level II (limited knowledge) in commonly spoken languages like Luganda, Kiswahili or Lusoga is required. (This may be tested)
SKILLS AND ABILITIES: (This may be tested.)
Must be able to use computer and typewriter, be able to communicate required job tasks to GSO/M supervisors, understanding of basic maintenance requirements and have a positive attitude to build a good customer relationship with embassy personnel, contractors and others. Must hold valid Ugandan driving license.
Qualifications: All applicants under consideration will be required to pass medical and security certifications.
