Holders of a degree in early childhood education can apply for the job of Head Teacher at SOS Children’s Villages

About SOS:

SOS Children’s Villages Uganda is an indigenous non-government, social development organisation affiliated to SOS Children’s Villages International, a worldwide child care organisation, currently running Children’s Villages and other projects in 135 countries around the world. SOS has been working in Uganda since 1991, and runs Children’s Villages and other projects at Kakiri, Entebbe (Abaita Ababiri), Gulu and in Fort Portal – Kabarole district.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 

  • The applicants should hold a degree in early childhood education training.
  • Past experience in teaching & managing lower & upper primary level for a minimum of three years.
  • Thorough understanding of Ugandan education curriculum and teaching methodologies.
  • Good understanding and experience in managing and supervising staff.
  • Possess the ability to relate well with parents and students.
  • Additional skills in music, sports/games, dance, and other extra-curricular activities will be of great advantage.
  • The Primary Head Teacher should be aged between 30 – 36 years.
