DFCU bank is a fast growing commercial bank offering a variety of innovative products and services. DFCU Limited was started by the Commonwealth Development Corporation (CDC) of the United Kingdom and the Government of Uganda through the Uganda Development Corporation (UDC) under the name of Development Finance Company of Uganda Limited. Later restructuring brought in DEG (of Germany) and International Finance Corporation (IFC) as equal partners with CDC and UDC, each having a 25% stake in the company. Its objective was to support long-term development projects whose financing needs and risk did not appeal to the then existing financial commercial lending institutions.
Job Summary: The Head, Agency Banking Channel will develop an Agency Banking proposition for Dfcu Bank that includes;
- Developing business cases and designing Operational, technological and Organizational modeling.
- Developing Agent Banking policies, processes and procedures.
- Developing the Agent banking risk, and compliance frameworks.
- Developing the Agent selection process and contracts.
- Developing a training plan and training manuals.
- Develop and execute a pilot plan and prepare for route to market rollout.
- Develop an HR plan that includes job profiles and responsibilities.
- Maintaining and constantly improving the dfcu Agency Banking proposition within the overall Bank’s channel management strategy.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Tasked with the management of the Agency Banking Channel.
- Management of the Agent network.
- Manage and develop the internal team.
- Responsible for the analysis of customer behavior patterns through various parameters to generate insights to increasing revenue and churn forecasting.
- Analysis of market developments including but not limited to technology development.
- Formulate strategies to maximize growth, revenue and budgets to support the strategic plans
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant for the DFCU Bank Head, Agency Banking Channel job opportunity must hold a University degree in a related field
- A minimum of six years of related experience with a leading financial organization of which at least 4 should have been in a managerial position.
- Relevant business related tertiary qualification is a pre-requisite.
