Hannah Karema was crowned the winner of the Miss Uganda 2023/2024 beauty pageant at the finale held at UMA Multipurpose Hall on Saturday 18th March 2023.

Miss Uganda pageant was last held in 2019 before Covid-19 hit, disrupting the annual event. 

The show was hosted by Mitch Egwang and pregnant Anita Fabiola, revellers got to witness performances from the likes of Levixone, Jackie Chandiru, and B2C Music, among others.

Tumukunde Karema, who is from Nakaseke, part of the Central Region, was the strongest performer and won the competition. Ademun Whitney Martha and Premah Agwang finished as the first and second runners-up respectively but were outperformed by Tumukunde Karema.

“Thank you, GOD. The crown is finally home, I was crowned Miss Uganda 2023. Thank you all for voting for me,” she said.

Tumukunde won a Toyota Wish, and she will represent Uganda at the Miss World competitions in Dubai. The 1^st runner-up and 2^nd runner-up also won a scholarship to Uganda’s Aviation Academy.
