Job Title:   IT Officer

NFT Consult, a leading HR Consultancy firm, seeks to recruit for its valuable client in the Transport and Logistics industry. NFT Human Resource Solutions are customer tailored per industry requirements and are geared towards increased cost savings, process improvement leading to improved efficiency and effectiveness yet simultaneously strengthening quality and control of resources.

Key Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Verify and Manage LAN, WAN and VPN
• Verify Internet Access
• Carry out regular Performance tests on Internet access, WAN and VPN
• Report Servers Disk Space
• Perform Daily Servers Backup and Hardware inventory updates
• Follow up on various requests from local IT department and Regional IT
• Department (software updates, licenses inventory updates…)
• Take the lead on new hardware installation
• Technically support the roll-out of new applications
• Verify and fill daily, weekly and monthly checkup files
• Ensure IT infrastructure Support for user (Network, hardware and applications)
• Install, test and configure security tools.
• Offer timely network support and configure PCs and WYSE terminals for network connectivity.
• Manage printers and System spool queues.
• Create and manage users on Windows 2008 server (Activity directory and TSE servers).
• Ensure administration and maintenance of Application, Proxy & Windows Servers
• Ensure administration and maintenance of Network and security equipment
• Ensure administration of PABX and user handset
• Follow up on maintenance for UPS & AS400 from contractors.
• Ensure administration of AS/400 and user helpdesk
• Perform any other duty that may be assigned by the Supervisor

Key Performance Indicators:

• Production of follow-up files (Backup, network, system and infrastructure) on a Daily, Weekly, Monthly basis
• Monthly Hardware Inventory
• Support and report on user help desk to IT Manager on a Daily basis
• Update Network topology every month
• Monthly meeting with IT Manager.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 

• The IT Officer should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
• Past Hardware/Cisco/Microsoft certifications
• At least three years’ IT experience
• Excellent communication skills
