Get research grants of $2000 by applying for HFG Young African Scholars Sponsorship 2015

THE HARRY FRANK GUGGENHEIM FOUNDATION (HFGF) is an American private foundation which supports research on problems related to violence and aggression.  HFGF conducts a special program for young African Scholars, aged 35 or younger, who have been educated and are living on the continent. This includes a methods workshop, to be held this spring in Nairobi, fieldwork research grants of $2000 each, editorial and publication help, and sponsorship at an international conference in 2016 to present the findings.

Applications should be no more than six pages and should include:

  • The Research Question
  • A short Review of Literature
  • A description of Research Methods to be used.
  • A 2 page c.v. should also be attached.  In addition, a scan of your passport or ID card should be included as proof of age.
Deadline for applying for the research grants is December 15 for the class commencing in Spring 2015
