Innovations for Poverty Action (IPA), is an international non-profit research organization. Based in New Haven, CT, with offices in Washington, D.C. and worldwide, IPA works with development partners and academic researchers to create and evaluate approaches to solving development problems, to communicate “what works” in development and to scale up successful projects in a variety of fields, including health, education, microfinance, governance and agriculture.
Job Summary: The Innovations for Poverty Action Research Associate will primarily oversee the impact evaluation of an intervention seeking to change social norms and attitudes on abortion and violence against women. The study aims at understanding the effectiveness of mass media content in addressing women’s issues. The position offers an opportunity to gain first-hand field management experience in an organization undertaking cutting-edge development research. The Principal Investigator for this project is Donald Green (Columbia University), and he is assisted by doctoral students Susanne Baltes, and Anna Wilke.
