First Lady Inaugurates Busoga University Task Force

The first lady and minister of education and sports, Hon Janet Museveni on 22nd August 2022, inaugurated a task force management committee to establish Busoga University as a public institution.

Busoga University (BU), has been a private university founded in 1999, Uganda. The university is affiliated with the Central Busoga Diocese of the Church of Uganda.


According to the Minister, the Task Force has been charged with delivering a smooth transition of Busoga University from a private to a government-owned public university.


Locals thanked the minister, “Thank you for transforming our education sector and supporting making sure that every Uganda child goes to school Maama. God bless you” they said.
