According to statistics, 344 students obtained first-class degrees or scored a CGPA above 4.40 in their respective degrees.
Makerere university‘s 73rd Graduation came to an end on the 17th of February, with students from the College of Engineering, Design, Art and Technology (CEDAT) and College of Humanities and Social Sciences (CHUSS) occupying the Freedom Square.
The five-day event was presided over by the university Chancellor Prof. Ezra Suruma, together with the Vice Chancellor Prof Barnabas Nawangwe.
During the course of this year’s ceremony, a total of 13,221 graduands received degrees and diplomas from Uganda’s premier university.
Of these, a total of 102 graduands graduated with PhDs, 1,378 with Masters degrees, 11,598 with Bachelor’s degrees and 143 with undergraduate and postgraduate diplomas.
