USAID’s Act to End Neglected Tropical Diseases | East is a five-year program led by RTI International (RTI). The program supports national governments to reach NTD control and elimination goals through proven, cost-effective public health interventions and also provides critical support to countries in their journey to self-reliance, helping them to create sustainable programming for NTD control within robust and resilient health systems.
Due to expansion in scope of our program in Uganda, we are now seeking qualified and passionate individuals to join our team in the following role:
Purpose Of The Job::
Will provide administrative, financial, and technical assistance, support and review of all financial awards generated by the USAID/Uganda Act to End NTDs East (the Project). The incumbent will work with the finance and program team to administer the awards in compliance with
USAID policies and procedures, the project’s grants manual, operations manual, and relevant accounting principles. S/he will be responsible for reviewing and assessing sub-awardee financial and technical reports to ensure compliance. S/he will provide administrative support and engage in capacity building of sub-awardees. This position will work with and support the Finance & Grants Manager in the management of financial awards and subcontracts for local organizations and Government structures, including the award proposal process. The Grants Officer will focus on financial and operational support to the sub-awardees including review of monthly financial reports and the accompanying back-up including receipts, timesheets, and payment documents.
Through this financial and operational support, the Finance & Grants Officer will help the sub-grantees to carry-out their activities that create positive change in Act to End NTDs in districts..

Job Qualifications:
• Master’s degree in Finance/Accounting; Business Administration and 3 years of experience or Bachelor’s Degree and 6 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
