FIFA World CUP Russia 2018 Highlights Sweden 1-0 South Korea June 18 2018

Sweden has put themselves in wonderful line to get to the competitive position of group F after they defeated South Korean in their opening group game. Andreas Granqvist scored the only goal of the game which came in second half from the penalty spot and with the win Sweden now have 3 points and need just one more win to make it through to the next round.

Son Heung-min had a few times when he got in open space and ran at the Sweden defense, and it was exciting and fun. He was usually kicked by one of those Swedish defenders a few seconds later, but there were brief moments, however fleeting, where he found some daylight, and it looked like there was the chance that some soccer might occur. It never really did, but it felt at a few times that it might.

Nizhny Novgorod Stadium in Nizhny Novgorod city was painted yellow as the Swedish celebrated their first 2018 world cup win against the Koreans.
