FASHION TIPS: Your lipstick says a lot about you.

Lipstick has been around from 300BC but the trend has come back of late, Women of all ages are wearing lipstick from the daring colours of Red, Pink, Nude among others.

Most women wear lipstick without actually knowing that the colour of lipstick you wear says a lot about your personality and the way people perceive you.

Here is what the different colours of lipstick mean;

RED

If you love to wear red lipstick shades, it proves that you have no inhibition to highlight your lips. You are confident enough to draw the attention of the viewers to your red pair of lips. You are passionate, sensuous, bold and full of energy. Red shades also bring out the energetic side of you.

PINK

This shade is sweet and very much girlie. You are supposed to fall in love with this colour when you are young because you are full of love and life then. Pink is always associated with cuteness. It is well understood that it is also a colour of soft natured women.

BRAVE BROWN AND PECULIAR PLUM

These shades are not uncommon anymore. Many women would scorn at red only to fall for brown or darker shades of mauve or plum. This brings out an adventurous personality that stands out among the lot. These women are off the beaten track. They would love to walk through uncharted paths rather than follow the obvious. They love challenge and have an aura of mystery around them.

BLACK

Of late, this shade has invaded the world of both the nail-paints and lipsticks as it stands out from the crowd. Women with similar personality love to wear black shades on their lips. Those who would fall for black lipsticks are quite difficult, if not frightening. A pair of black lips imposes inapproachability on the looks. Even if the person does not turn out to be that unapproachable, she does not like mixing with people.

NUDE

Those who love to wear a nude look are not likely to have any pretensions. They are simple and down to earth. At the same time, they are also confident about their natural looks. They are easy going, cool and calm.

Now I guess you know what people will think when they see the lipstick your wearing.

We made a quick study on women who wear lipstick and here is what they had to say;

“When I started wearing lipstick I started feeling pretty and good about myself, I saw myself as a different person,” Said Resty a 3rd year student at Makerere University.

She added that she now looks at herself as a high class lady because of wearing lipstick. You cannot catch her without make up now.

When we approached Leticia from Makerere University, she explained that she now feels confident and believes she can stand up to anyone just by wearing Lipstick.

The study we did was on over 50 University students and 90% said that lipstick had changed them for the better.
While 10% admitted that they admire the girls who put on lipstick but have not gotten the courage to wear it too.

Lipstick is not only worn by prostitutes like the ancient days believed even working class women wear it.
