Estates Officer Job opportunity at Law Development Centre (LDC)

Job Title:  Estates Officer

The Law Development Centre (LDC) has a mandate to provide legal education to lawyers and non lawyers, undertake research in topical legal issues, contribute to legal reform, produce legal publications, teaching materials, law reports and also provide community legal services. Some of It’s key functions include;

  • To provide legal training to lawyers and non lawyers
  • To research into topical legal issues and recommend proposals for law reform
  • To provide law reports and legal publications
  • To provide community legal services

Job Summary: The Estates Officer will assist the Administration Manager in maintenance of LDC premises.

Key Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for developing plans and budgets for maintaining Centre premises and property.
  • Organizing office maintenance and repairs.
  • Ensuring safety and security of physical assets.
  • Initiate requisitions of Estates goods and services.
  • Oversee, guide and monitor performance of staff under his/her direct report.
  • Send timely periodic reports to the Administration Manager of the assigned and delegated duties.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the Administration Manager or Head of Department.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 

  • The candidate should hold a Degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Five or more years’ experience in Estates Management.
  • Good computer literacy skills.
  • Must be a person of high integrity.

Age: Between 30 – 40 years
