JOB DETAILS:
The Mission of the Ministry of Agriculture, Animal Industry and Fisheries is to “Transform Subsistence Farming to Commercial Agriculture”.
The Government of Uganda has received credit from the African Development Bank towards financing the Agriculture Value Chain Development Programme (AVCP)- Project l.
The main goal of the project is to contribute to poverty reduction and economic growth in Uganda through enhanced productivity and commercialization of agriculture.
These positions are to be filled on a two year contract, renewable subject to satisfactory performance and needs of the Employer.
PROJECT: AGRICULTURE VALUE CHAIN DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM (AVCP) PROJECT I
Title: Engineer
Salary Scale: Attractive.
Job Purpose: Reporting to the Project Senior Engineer, the Engineer will support the planning and implementation of the civil works activities in the Project.
Qualifications and Experience:
• An Honours Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, or Water Resources Engineering, or Agricultural Engineering, or Irrigation Engineering.
• At least 3 year’s working experience in design, Construction, Maintenance and Supervision of Water and Agricultural related Infrastructure.

• At least 3 year’s working experience in design, Construction, Maintenance and Supervision of Water and Agricultural related Infrastructure.
