OBJECTIVES OF THE PROGRAMME The objective of the post is to coordinate and analyze Data that will be received in real-time from the operational level to the National Level, using ODK tools. Provide any ODK trainings as necessary Provide solutions to any OCK problems identified at all levels. Feedback any Data quality discrepancy issues to the field coordinators for verification and action in real time.Provide to the National coordination structures, feedback as received from the field for any corrective actionProvide on a progressive basis the actual attainment of coverage’s in Districts and regions for immediate remedial actionsSupport the Coverage Survey Team in implementing and analyzing the results of the Coverage Survey data’sSupport the final MR Campaign Coverage Report compilation
DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES The incumbent will perform the following duties:Develop MR campaign ODK checklists/tools.Format the MR campaign checklists/tools for uploading on ODK server.Conduct ODK training for national and sub national levels MR campaign supervisors.Install ODK and ISST on smart phones of national and sub national levels MR campaign supervisors.Monitor and share monthly Feedback on ODK use and reporting of national and sub national level MR campaign supervisors and other EPI stakeholders.Enter the Real Time Data as received from the field Establish, maintain and up-date databases of the MR Data Analyze the real time data received and give actionable recommendations to National and District coordinatorsProvide ODK back-up support to the MR campaign implementers Perform data harmonization, validation and cleaning on all data received before forwarding to national level.11. Provide regular feedback on data quality, timeliness and completeness to Districts and Regions for action. 12. Track and obtain missing or incomplete data/reports and provide feedback to relevant levels. Conduct data management training to build the capacity of officers.Perform other activities as required by WHO Representative.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Education Essential: Completion of secondary education; preferably supplemented by a technical or university degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Monitoring & Evaluation or data management related field with additional data management training.Desirable: Strong IT knowledge with training. Experience Essential: At least8 years’ experience in health related data management.Experience in quality collection, analysis, dissemination, and use of health information for program planning and management.Experience in database development.Working knowledge of statistical application programs (EPI INFO, SPSS, STATA etc.) and mapping programs (HealthMapper, ArcGIS, MapInfo etc)Desirable: Experience in managing health related data Skills Data Management and IT skill with working experience WHO Competencies TeamworkRespecting and promoting individual and cultural differencesCommunication Use of Language Skills Essential: Expert knowledge of English.Desirable: Beginners knowledge of French.The above language requirements are interchangeable.
REMUNERATION WHO offers staff in the General Services category an attractive remuneration package, which for the above position includes an annual net base salary starting at UGX 62,060,000 (subject to mandatory deductions for pension contributions and health insurance, as applicable) and 30 days of annual leave.
