Today, Finance Trust Bank is a fully-fledged commercial bank serving a clientele of over 500,000 depositors and over 37,000 borrowers, through a network of 34 branches countrywide. The bank offers a variety of Products and services including; Savings, Current accounts, Loans, Money transfer services and Bills payments to its target market which comprises of micro, small and medium entrepreneurs, salary earners and youth.

Job Summary:  The Credit Administrator – Projects is accountable for managing all of the projects in the department  to ensure proper reporting and documentation  as per the service level agreement.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and share daily, weekly, monthly and annual project reports for both the external and internal stakeholders use.
  • Maintain a well updated schedule/file for all projects that are being managed in the department.
  • Develop a training plan for Credit officers and other internal staff to equip them with necessary skills to ensure that projects are well managed.
  • Regularly communicate to Branches on their expectations in line with the different projects in the department.
  • Work closely with the business department and ensure that emerging credit related projects that require reporting are taken up and stakeholder relationships are managed.
  • Perform, promote and maintain the highest standards of customer service in order to maximize returns from exist from existing relationships.
  • Co-ordinate stakeholder visits and Audits of the projects that are managed in the department as and when needed.
  • Working with credit supervisors ensure that credit documentation standards as laid down in the credit policy and stakeholder agreements are met at all times.
  • Regularly review the business and market environment related to projects and liaise with stakeholders for recommended changes in line with the bank’s objectives and the industry best practice.
  • Any other duties as may be assigned by your immediate supervisor from time to time

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • The applicant must hold a Bachelor’s degree in a Business-related field from a recognized university.
  • At least two years of experience in a Banking or similar environment.
  • Must have critical thinking, analytical, attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Advanced, computer literacy, numerical skills and statistical skills.
  • Team player, ability to work under pressure and in position to exercise excellent judgment.
  • The ability to communicate clearly in a professional manner is deemed essential.
  • Ability to build functioning working relationships
  • Takes clear accountability, and focuses on delivery of broader corporate goals.
  • Ability to take decisions and progress towards goals in conditions of uncertainty.
  • Ability to demonstrate positive image and up hold FTB values.
  • Must be a person of integrity
