JOB DETAILS:
Our client a leading national NGO is looking for a competent Ugandan to fill the position of Country Director. Future Options Consulting Ltd has been retained to handle the recruitment.
Country Director
Purpose of the Position: Provide overall leadership and working closely with the Board of Director to develop and implement organizational strategies, objectives and goals. You will ensure that the organization is sufficiently resourced and has the right partnerships with donors, government and civil society organizations to effectively execute its mandate. The successful candidate must be experienced in designing and implementing programs in areas of child protection, psychosocial support, violence prevention, livelihoods improvement and community systems strengthening and covering both development and humanitarian contexts. .

Key Responsibilities
• Provide leadership in executing organizational strategy, program growth and development policy formulation and enforcement.
• Lead teams to identify opportunities for program growth and development through strategic partnerships and collaboration with like-minded agencies.
• Oversee the functionality and performance of all field offices, and support teams on external missions.
• Fundraising and resource mobilization, establishing and maintaining productive relations with donor develop and implement strategies that enhance organizational sustainability.
• Linking the programmatic and management functions to ensure efficiency.
• Maintain good relationships with media, donors, government officials and stakeholders.
• Ensure institutional strengthening and capacity building by availing well in-built motivated team members.

Requirements
• Master’s Degree preferably in social science, development or business management or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience working with an NGO, out of which a minimum 5 years should be a senior management level of Director/ Head of Operations/ Chief of Party
• Should be familiar with managing grants funded by USAID, EU, DANIDA, UN agencies and Foundation based grants.

Job Education Requirements: Master’s Degree preferably in social science

Job Experience Requirements: 10 years
