Uganda management Institute (UMI) is a National Centre for Training, Research and Consultancy in the field of Administration, Leadership and Management. Officially opened on 7th October 1969 as the Institute Public Administration (IPA), the Institute was mandated to conduct intensive in-service training to quickly develop management capacity in the public service.

Uganda management Institute is structured into four specialized but complementary schools.
  1. School of Civil Service, Public Administration and Governance,
  2. School of Business, Productivity and Competitiveness,
  3. School for Distance Learning and Information Technology,
  4. School of Management Sciences,

UMI has three regional study centres namely:

  1. Mbarara
  2. Gulu
  3. Mbale

Philimon Badagawa.

Philimon Badagawa is a multimedia journalist with skills in news gathering, packaging, editing and online publishing. He has knowledge in data visualization, can design and manage websites. He previously worked as a journalist with Observer media and authored several articles and stories. He does research, video & audio recording, editing and production for online publication. He Participated in The New Dawn photography campaign aimed at rebranding Northern Uganda-USAID/NUTI Project (2010). Philimon is in love with photography, writing, reading, sharing new ideas and interacting with reasonable people for skills development.
