Call for Proposals-Higher Education Research and Innovation

The Building housing E-Learning and Teacher Education (ELATE), College of Education and External Studies (CEES), Makerere University

The International Conference in Higher Education Research and Innovation (ICHERI) is organized by the East African School for Higher Education Studies, College of Education and External Studies (CEES), Makerere University. The ICHERI is scheduled for 26th -29th November 2014 in Kampala Uganda.

Changes in the environment in which universities operate have presented both opportunities and challenges. Universities have responded to both with different levels of success.

Although some responses have led to improvement, some have either failed or presented new challenges.

A well accepted premise in discourse on higher education is that regular sharing on these opportunities, challenges and responses from an internationally comparative perspective could guide efforts to shape the future of higher
education.

The goal of the conference is to provide an opportunity for scholars and practitioners from various disciplines and parts of the world to meet and share their knowledge, experiences and insights relating to these challenges and opportunities
