Call for Applications: Postgraduate Diploma,Ordinary Diploma & Certificate courses at MUBS

The School Registrar, Makerere University Business School is inviting applications for admission to Postgraduate Diploma, Ordinary Diploma and Certificate courses/programmes on private sponsorship scheme at MUBS main campus for Academic Year 2015/2016.

The deadline for submission of application forms is 31st July 3015.

Admission requirements for Ordinary Diploma courses are:

  1. Each applicant should have the Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) with at least 5 passes and the Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) with at least 1 principal pass and 2 subsidiaries obtained at the same sitting or its equivalent.
  2. Certificate holders should have the Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) with at least 3 passes and hold an Academic Certificate qualification from a recognized Institution or a Certificate in Business Studies offered by UNEB with at least 5 passes obtained from different stages.
  3. Applicants with Professional Qualifications must have passed at least a half of Stage/Level One of the professional qualifications from a recognized institution and a Uganda Certificate in Education with at least three passes.
  4. CERTIFICATE PROGRAMMES: Each applicant should have a Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) with at least 3 passes obtained at the same sitting.

        • Diploma in Accounting and Finance
        • Diploma in Business Administration
        • Diploma in Human Resource Management
        • Diploma in Project Planning and Management
        • Diploma in Procurement and Logistics Management
        • Diploma in Computer Science
        • Diploma in Business Computing DBCM
        • Diploma in Entrepreneurship and Small Business Mgt
        • Diploma in Hotel and Restaurant Business Management
        • Diploma in Hospitality and Tourism Management
        • Diploma in Community Management
        • Certificate in Business Administration
        • Certificate in Entrepreneurship and Small Business

Ordinary Diploma & Certificate Courses at MUBS 2015/2016

50 students are needed for Postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration and also 50 for Postgraduate Diploma in Business Education.

The Postgraduate Diploma course takes one year and costs 1,170,000/= per semester for students from East African Countries. Natives coming from countries outside E.Africa pay 1007 US Dollars per semester.

Philimon Badagawa is a multimedia journalist with skills in news gathering, packaging, editing and online publishing. He has knowledge in data visualization, can design and manage websites. He previously worked as a journalist with Observer media and authored several articles and stories. He does research, video & audio recording, editing and production for online publication. He Participated in The New Dawn photography campaign aimed at rebranding Northern Uganda-USAID/NUTI Project (2010). Philimon is in love with photography, writing, reading, sharing new ideas and interacting with reasonable people for skills development.
