Makerere University (Mak) in partnership with Moi University and University of Bergen received a grant from the Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation (Norad) to establish a project entitled “HI-TRAIN: Health Informatics Training and Research in East Africa for Improved Health Care”. HI-TRAIN is under the NORHED programme within Norad.
HI-TRAIN now invites applications for a full-time two year Masters programme – Master of Science in Health Informatics.
The Masters programme is tenable at Moi University, Eldoret, Kenya. The programme will begin in the academic year 2015/2016 in September 2015.
The deadline for the applications is Monday 4th June 2015 at 3:00 PM EAT
Qualifications for suitable candidates
- Meet the common Moi University School of Medicine Graduate studies Committee (SOMGSC) entry requirements as they refer to Master of Science Programmes
- Pass admission interviews as determined by the Departmental Postgraduate Committee.
- Must have graduated with a first class degree.
- Must be willing to undertake teaching on the Health Informatics program at Makerere University upon graduation.
- A Bachelor’s Degree in the Health Sciences from Makerere University OR a Bachelor’s Degree in Computing or related discipline from Makerere University.
