Busitema University private admissions 2014/15

Busitema University offers engineering courses and other science courses

Busitema University has started receiving applications for admission under the private sponsorship scheme for the academic year 2014/2015.

827 vacancies are available for 15 courses offered at Busitema university across the institution’s five campuses of Mbale, Arapai, Busitema, Namassagali and Nagongera.

The Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery courses are studied at the Mbale Campus which has only 17 places.

Other degree courses on offer include:

  1. Agricultural Mechanization and Irrigation Engineering
  2. Computer Engineering
  3. Education
  4. Textile Engineering
  5. Water Resources Engineering
  6. Agro-Processing Engineering
  7. Mining Engineering
  8. Natural Resource Economics
  9. Animal Production & Management.

Diploma Courses: Ginning Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, Computer Engineering, Animal Production & Management and Crop Production & Management are the courses being offered on diploma level at Busitema University.

However, candidates who did not take agriculture at A’ level should have passed it with at least a credit at O’ Level to be eligible for admission to Bachelor of Agricultural Mechanization and Irrigation Engineering.

Candidates who did not do chemistry at A’ Level should have passed it with at least a credit at O’ level, to be considered for admission to Bachelor of Science in Textile Engineering and Diploma in Ginning Engineering.

Application forms can be obtained from the five campuses, or from the university’s liaison office, Lincoln Flats, Room C4 Makerere University.

The application costs a non-refundable fee of Sh50, 000 payable via Stanbic or Centenary banks.
