Job Summary:  The BT Applications Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the implementation, maintenance, and support of business technology applications. Collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure the smooth functioning of technology applications that support the business operations.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, deployment, and maintenance of the bank’s Delivery Channels and enterprise applications.
  • Develop and implement procedures for testing and rolling out new applications, upgrades, and improvements.
  • Analyze and resolve escalated application issues, coordinating with support teams and vendors for timely resolutions.
  • Coordinate with vendors for bug fixes/enhancements and provide temporary solutions to minimize business disruption.
  • Accountable for application-related service calls, incidents, and coordination with vendors for problem resolutions.
  • Foster knowledge transfer and mentorship to support team members through training and documentation.
  • Ensure proper documentation of customizations/modifications and implement security measures for application platforms.
  • Gather requirements from users and work with the Business Technology team to develop technical specifications.
  • Manage application integrations with internal/external systems and oversee enhancements in UAT and production.
  • Monitor service level agreements with vendors, contribute to procurement planning, and supervise the team’s activities.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • The applicant must hold a Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • At least four years of experience in implementing and supporting business technology applications.
  • Strong technical skills in application design, deployment, and maintenance
  • Knowledge of banking industry applications and delivery channels preferred.
  • Ability to manage vendor relationships and coordinate support activities.
  • Proficient in IT service management processes and best practices
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills
  • Experience in team management and working collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
