Bobi Wine Safely Lands into Kenya for a five-day visit

Kyagulanyi arrives in Kenya the day the country holds the celebrations to mark Moi Day.

Kenyan politician and legislator Babu Owino  went on  Twitter to alert the world about Bobi Wines’ five day visit.

“I wish to take this opportunity to announce to the nation that the Hon Robert Kyagulanyi/ @HEBobiwine will be leading a delegation of young Ugandan Members of Parliament to Kenya this Moi Day, Wednesday, October 10th, 2018 for a five-day official visit,” he said.

Bobi leads a delegation of youthful Members of Parliament from Uganda. He will be interviewed on Citizen Television’s Jeff Koinange Live later on Wednesday night.

The Kenya Young Parliamentarians Association did invite the legislator in respect for the role he is delivering in inspiring the youth in Africa.

The singer has caught the eye of the youth following his alleged torture by the security operatives during a highly contested election in Arua that led to death of his driver.

Groups in Kenya went on the streets to demand for the release of Bobi Wine saying his detention was illegal.

“President Museveni’s time is up. He is the last of Africa’s dictators and he must go. Bobi Wine is innocent, they are using him as a scapegoat. He is not just a person but an idea. He represents the 75 per cent of youth who make up the population of Africa,” activist Boniface Mwangi said during the protest.

Kenya Law Society, Amnesty International, Ugandans living in Kenya and student leaders gathered at the Freedom Corner in Nairobi and final marched to the Ugandan embassy on Riverside Drive to demand for Bobi’s release.
