Baby dies after being snatched by monkeys from her mother

Residents of Mwamgongo village in Kigoma, Tanzania are morning the death of a one month old baby boy who was snatched by a troop of monkeys from her mother.

The monkey attacked the mother outside her home and snatched the baby as she  breast fed him.

According to The Citizen, Kigoma Regional Police Commander James Manyama noted that the mother screamed for help and villagers rushed to help.

In the attempt to rescue the baby, force was used hence hurting the child on the head and neck. He was later rushed to a near by hospital where he was pronounced dead.
