Attorney General kicked out of Nkumba University Guild

This may be one of the worst semesters that the embattled Guild Attorney General of Nkumba University, Begumisa Benard Arinaitwe has ever witnessed in his career of leadership. This is because his political life is fading terribly, time after time.

It all went viral when the Nkumba University Guild parliament which sat on 26thFebruary 2014 at 2:00pm moved and passed a motion censure him as the Minister of Justice and constitution Affairs. He was accused of  incompetence and misuse of office by parliamentarians.

According to a letter addressed to the Guild President, Madina Zalwango,   from the Deputy speaker Itangishaka Habert,  a fourth year student doing a course in Law, Begumisa Benard Arinaitwe was relieved of his duties and  was no longer a minister in the in Madinah’s Guild Government.

“He ceases to be a minister and should vacate office with immediate effect.”the letter reads.
The state Minister for Information and Technology Tumusime Brian said that it was unavoidable to contain Begumisa.

“I wish to regret the censuring of our Minister but parliament found him incompetent and he had misused his office.” Brian said.

However when contacted, Begumisa denied any allegations of being censured and affirmed that he was still in his office as Minister because the right procedures were not followed.
