The body of the late Assistant Inspector General of Police Julius Sharita was on Thursday 19th flown back into the uganda from New york.
The body arrived at Entebbe International Airport at Midday aboard the Emirates plane and was received by Uganda Police bosses including AIGP Andrew Sorowen and AIGP Polly Namanya.
The Uganda Police attaché to New York died on Friday last week after battling with cancer and pneumonia. The senior high ranking officer served in various capacities before his posting to New York.
He was Director Special Duties, Commissioner of Police in Charge CID Administration and in charge CID in several districts.
He was born in Mitooma District, Western Uganda and at the time of his death, he had served the Uganda police force for 28 years.
He has left a widow and six kids including Sandra Azora, Justus Ashaba, Geofrey Asiimwe , Sandra Muteesi, Brenda Ahebwa and Brian Sharita. The deceased will be buried on Saturday at Kyankukwe village in Mitooma district.
