Apply for Museum Studies Distance Learning Scholarships at University of Leicester

University of Leicester, the School of Museum Studies is offering distance learning scholarships for UK/EU and international students. Scholarships are provided for distance learning Masters degree programmes in Museum Studies, Learning and Visitor Studies in Museums and Galleries, Digital Heritage and Heritage and Interpretation. 2 x £2,000 scholarships are open to applicants currently working or volunteering in UK museums and 3 x £1,000 scholarships are open to all applicants.

Scholarship Description: The School of Museum Studies is pleased to offer five scholarships for April 2014 entry to its distance learning masters degree programmes. The scholarships are available for 2 x £2,000 scholarships open to applicants currently working or volunteering in UK museums and 3 x £1,000 scholarships open to all applicants.

How to Apply: The mode of applying is online.
-Draft a brief personal statement (1,000 words maximum) that tells us why you wish to study your chosen course, how your previous academic and/or professional experience has given you the skills needed for postgraduate level study, and how taking this course will support your personal and/or professional development plans.
-Prepare your supporting documents – two references (including at least one academic reference), evidence of your academic qualifications, and evidence that you meet our English language entry requirements (if English is not your first language)

Philimon Badagawa is a multimedia journalist with skills in news gathering, packaging, editing and online publishing. He has knowledge in data visualization, can design and manage websites. He previously worked as a journalist with Observer media and authored several articles and stories. He does research, video & audio recording, editing and production for online publication. He Participated in The New Dawn photography campaign aimed at rebranding Northern Uganda-USAID/NUTI Project (2010). Philimon is in love with photography, writing, reading, sharing new ideas and interacting with reasonable people for skills development.
