Job Tittle: Quality Assurance Office.
Joint Medical Stores (JMS) is a church founded private not-for-profit organization whose mission is to supply medicines, medical equipment and related health care services of assured quality to the people of Uganda at affordable prices.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- The QA Officer will inspect all incoming products and audit documentation to ensure that they conform to set quality standards and specifications
- Inspect all stored products routinely and check that they are in compliance with the best pharmaceutical storage practices.
- Take samples from received batches of products in line with the relevant Standard Operating Procedures and pre-defined criteria and analyse or submit them to the laboratory for analysis.
- Offer technical support to quality assurance audits
- Conduct training and sensitizations on quality assurance to both the JMS staff and the registered unit
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The QA officer should possess a diploma in Pharmacy
- A minimum of two years experience working in a busy wholesale pharmaceutical outlet or manufacturing facility.
- Extensive knowledge and exposure to the current challenges in the proper management of medical supplies.
- Possess a valid practicing license from Allied Health Professional Council (AHCP) and training in the area of quality management systems
- Good interpersonal skills
- Good analytical ability, highly innovative and ability to identify strategies to improve on quality
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to prioritize workload, high self initiative and excellent team ethic
- Computer literacy skills particularly proficiency in Microsoft Powerpoint, Excel, Internet use and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) applications
