Job Title: Graduate Clerk (Several Fresh Graduate Jobs)

Standard Chartered PLC is a British multinational banking and financial services company headquartered in Hong Kong, China. It is a universal bank with operations in consumer, corporate and institutional banking, and treasury services. Standard Chartered Bank Uganda is the longest established international bank in the country; the first branch was opened in August 1912. We had 11 branches up to 1972 and retained only one branch during the turbulence of the 70s. In 1998 we acquired 4 branches of former Cooperative Bank in November 1999. Standard Chartered Bank Uganda today has a network of 11 branches in Kampala, Jinja, Mbale, Mbarara and Gulu. Standard Chartered Bank Uganda has 29 ATMs and over 600 staff.

Job Summary: The Standard Bank Group Graduate Clerks will be trained across the respective departments they will be attached to.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

The Graduates will assist in the migration and implementation of best practice across the Bank and facilitate dealings with support and sales functions and other businesses to promote “One Bank”.
Work in liaison with the line managers to ensure that the services delivered by various operational platforms are of top quality and that customers’ needs and being attended to according to our service level agreements.
Work in collaboration with team members to ensure all tasks assigned are executed on time and with high integrity.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

The suitable applicants should be University Graduates
At least a Credit 6 in Maths & English at Ordinary level
Any working experience attained will be an added advantage but isn’t a requirement
Computer literacy and ability is mandatory
