About Hospice:
Since 1993, Hospice Africa Uganda (HAU) (national organization) has promoted modern methods of pain and symptom control as well as “whole-person” (holistic) care for patients living with cancer and HIV/AIDS. HAU strives to uphold excellent clinical standards and provide quality education courses and advocacy activities to promote the spread of palliative care throughout Uganda and Africa.
Job Summary: The Human Resource Training and Development Officer (HRTD) will oversee the learning and professional development of HAU’s workforce. The incumbent will assess training needs of the HAU employees, learning objectives and applications from other institutions, support teams with appropriate learning schemes, coordinates training and volunteer programs within HAU.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Qualifications, Skills and Experience: The applicant should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Public Admin, Project Planning & Management, Social Work & Social Admin, Public Relations. Possession of a Master’s degree in Training and Development, Human Resources Management, Organizational Development, or Business Administration is an added advantage.
