Andrew Mugisa voted Uganda Christian University Guild President

Andrew Mugisa, UCU Guild President elect 2013/14

Uganda Christian University (UCU) students have voted Andrew Mugisa as their new Guild President,2013/14.

Mugisa is a second year student studying a Bachelors course in Economics Management.

According to the results announced yesterday night by the electoral commission, Mugisa won with 1509 votes beating two others in the contest.

Innocent Mateeka was second with 796 votes while Blessed Murungi became third with 782.

Andrew Mugisa will be taking over from Phillip Mugume Baitwa ,  a Law student.

He will be sworn in as UCU Guild President 2013/14 next week on Tuesday 19th, November 2013.

Since yesterday, many have congratulated the Guild president elect and below are some of the posts on Facebook :

“I take this opportunity to congratulate Mugisa Andrew victory he realized yesterday….I salute Blessed and innocent for the good fight they put on. May the good lord bless the president elect and his entire tenure plus his entire government.” Kanamara Daniel congratulatory massage reads.

Andrew Sserwadda writes, “all the best Andrew and may God grant you all the wisdom,knowledge and understanding to lead and above all may the Holyspirit grant u all the guidance in Jesus’ name.amen.”

“Congratulations Andrew Mugisa Guild President 2013-2014. Thanks to all who supported us through out the entire electoral process. we had overwhelming support and ultimately a landslide victory. One for all, All for one.” Papa Ronald posted.
