Reports to: Country Director and Assistant Country Director

Salary: USD 6,979.50 per annum

About US:

African Institute for Capacity Development (AICAD) is a regional international institution whose main mandate is poverty reduction through human resource capacity development. The Institute is jointly funded by the governments of Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania. The AICAD Head Office is located in Juja, Kenya.

Job Summary:  The Administrative Assistant will be responsible for handling administrative matters, handle accounts matters, submit quarterly accountability reports to Headquarters in Nairobi, Kenya, file various account/administrative correspondences and ensure proper record maintenance, and performs any other duties as required by immediate supervisor, the Country Director or his/her assignee.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 

  • The ideal candidate for the AICAD Administrative Assistant job must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration (with a bias in Accounting)
  • Computer literacy skills i.e. proficiency in MS Office applications
  • A minimum of three years of related working experience.
  • Possession of a professional qualification in Accounting will be an added advantage.
  • Age: Below 40 years
