JOB DETAILS:
The Mission of the Ministry of Agriculture, Animal Industry and Fisheries is to “Transform Subsistence Farming to Commercial Agriculture”.
The Government of Uganda has received credit from the African Development Bank towards financing the Agriculture Value Chain Development Programme (AVCP)- Project l.
The main goal of the project is to contribute to poverty reduction and economic growth in Uganda through enhanced productivity and commercialization of agriculture.
These positions are to be filled on a two year contract, renewable subject to satisfactory performance and needs of the Employer.

Job Title: Accountant
Salary Scale: Attractive.

job Purpose: Reporting to the Project Senior Financial Management Officer, the Accountant will be responsible for providing effective support for maintaining an efficient and accurate accounting function.

Qualifications and Experience:
• An Honors Bachelor degree in Finance and Accounting Or any other Bachelor Degree (Hons) with a bias in accounting option obtained from a recognized Institution
• A professional accounting qualification like ACCA, CPA, will be an added advantage.
• A minimum of 5 years of relevant working experience, 2 years of which should be in donor funded projects.
